Our Cake-Eating Hippo Playsby Hazel Edwards, with special songs by the Hipsters published by Bushfire Press The world famous 'Hippo' books were written by Austalian author Hazel Edwards. The first book in the series, There's a Hippo on Our Roof Eating Cake was written over twenty years ago - in fact, Hippo had his 21st birthday in 2002. He was featured in Victoria's Moomba parade and had honours bestowed from around the world. He has become a much-loved icon of children's literature and has appeared in several picture books, on television and on the stage The books have been translated into several languages and are popular throughout the world - especially in China! Now Hazel has adapted 4 of the books into playscripts for young people and we have collected them in this easy-to-use book. The book is photocopiable, with large print (perfect for attaching to the family fridge for 'lines practice'). The four short plays come with a CD of 5 songs: one for each play and an opening/closing song ('Hey Mister Hippo'). The CD also contains backing tracks.
